Despite recent advances in the understanding and treatment of heart failure, this syndro-me remains one of the most common and serious problems in cardiovascular medicine. The high morbidity (especially in hospitalization) and mortality rates associated with heart failu-re impose a huge burden on patients, families and health care systems .Any further progr-ess in the management of heart failure is likely to depend on new pharmacological, biologi-cal and device treatments, improved patient monitoring and better organization and deliv-ery of care.

The objective of the Heart Failure Dubai 2010 is to bring together all those interested in this field, particularly those who work and practice in the Middle East.  The aim is to increa-se medical knowledge among cardiologists, internists, epidemiologists, and nurses, so that they can share new insights and contribute to the improvement in the care of patients with heart failure.

The conference covers all aspects of heart failure from epidemiology, through basic and translational science to prevention, diagnosis (including imaging and biomarkers) and medi-cal and nursing management. The programme also includes updates on the latest clinical trials.
