Dr. Afzalhussein M Yusufali, MD graduated and completed Postgraduate training in Internal Medicine from University of Dar-es-salaam. Obtained MRCP in 1988 and FRCP (Glasgow) in 1999 and is examiner for the PACES part of the MRCP exam. Dr. Yusufali is currently the associate professor in the Dubai Girls Medical College and Consultant Cardiologist and In-charge of the Cardiology Department of Dubai Heart Centre at the Dubai Hospital.

Dr. Yusufali’s clinical interests are in general cardiology including Acute Coronary syndrome, Acute and Chronic Heart Failure, and Cardio-Metabolic Syndrome. His research interest focuses on CVD Risk factors and Registries for Acute Coronary Syndrome, Pulmonary Embolism and Acute Heart failure. He is also involved with  research on CVD and cardiometabolic epidemiology in the UAE. He strongly feels that cardiovascular diseases can largely be prevented and organizes many community outreach programs to promote cardiovascular disease awareness and prevention strategies.
